We are pleased to present Guy Gormley’s first solo exhibition B u s h e s ( E D I T ). In this selection from his ongoing Bushes series Gormley singles out the great British bush. His confidence with the awkward and the mundane, lending his subjects an uncanny sense of significance, makes for a wry study of rural fringes. In the darkroom he often allows his images to take their own direction; rather than always striving for technical correctness he instead looks for a lightness of touch, which gives primacy to atmosphere and feeling.
